A Trump-branded crypto wallet from the creators of the president’s official meme coin is apparently no more, killed following public pushback from Donald’s sons.

The Trump meme coin team announced Tuesday that it would launch a wallet app tied to the Solana token, in partnership with prominent NFT trading platform Magic Eden. And while linked to the meme coin, the app would serve as an all-purpose crypto wallet and trading platform, supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and beyond.

But soon after the announcement, Donald Trump’s sons—Eric, Barron, and Don Jr.—all came out against the wallet, saying they weren’t connected to it or previously aware of its creation. The Trump Organization then sent a cease and desist letter on Thursday to meme coin creator and Trump licensee GetTrumpMemes.

On Friday, Eric Trump said on X that the two sides had come to an agreement, and that the meme coin wallet ā€œisn’t moving forward.ā€ He also said that the Donald Trump-backed World Liberty Financial project—which is planning to launch its own wallet—will ā€œacquire a substantial positionā€ in the meme coin for its treasury.
