President Donald Trump's official Solana meme coin is the biggest gainer Friday, outpacing Bitcoin, XRP, and other major coins.

After weeks of steady declines since soon after launch, President Donald Trump’s official Solana meme coin has seen a massive pump over the last day.
TRUMP spiked above the $24 mark on Friday afternoon, hitting the highest price seen yet in February. At the slightly cooled price of $22 as of this writing, TRUMP is up 34% on the day, making it the biggest gainer in the top 100 coins by a wide margin.
Why? Well, that bit remains unclear. Crypto prices are broadly up, but none of the major coins are up nearly as much as TRUMP; Bitcoin is up just 1%, while XRP is leading the top 10 with its own 9% jump.
Trump himself hasn’t done anything particularly shocking or noteworthy over the last day, while the coin’s biggest news was a listing on South Korean exchange Upbit on Thursday. But most of the price gains and surging trading volume started several hours after that announcement.
Still, meme coins mostly trade on vibes—and for TRUMP, at least today, the vibes are looking positive after weeks of losses.
