Former U.S. president and current Republican nominee Donald Trump launched his long-rumored crypto project, World Liberty Financial, Monday.
During a live interview with Rug Radio, Decrypt’s sister company, Trump credited the use of cryptocurrency to purchase his NFTs as prompting his about-face on digital assets, having previously said he was “not a fan” of Bitcoin.
Trump used the launch event to assert his crypto-friendly credentials, warning that U.S. crypto builders under investigation by the SEC "will be living in hell" if his bid for re-election fails.
