But while it may have secured them access to the exclusive reception, the political fallout from Trump’s crypto dinner continues to have reprecussions. Watchdogs and lawmakers have highlighted the potential conflict of interest, accusing the president of engaging in a “nakedly corrupt self-enrichment scheme.”
