📝 What you need to know
It's spooky season, and there's a chill in the air. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index dropped to 56 on Monday, a “neutral” reading, down from 67 a week earlier and a year high of 82 in late August, while Bitcoin is ranging near $83,000.
The pressure is coming from macro factors, with Brent crude above $100 a barrel, the 30-year Treasury yield at its highest since 2002, and $386 million in net outflows from spot Bitcoin ETFs so far in October.
Analysts say this week’s U.S. inflation data could set the Fed’s next move. Meanwhile, traders on Myriad, a prediction market owned by Decrypt’s parent company Dastan, now put a 66% chance on Bitcoin dropping to $80,000 this month.
