Leaked emails reviewed by Decrypt show late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein took an interest in Bitcoin and crypto tax policy—and even exchanged notes with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon about it.

The emails show Epstein suggested Bannon take up the matter of U.S. crypto tax policy with the Treasury Department and expressed worry over how crypto transactions are taxed both in the U.S. and abroad. “World wide, a whole different bag,” he added. “Some bad shit. Very bad,” Epstein wrote.
