Satoshi's secret is safe 🥸

After lots of hype, the HBO "Money Electric" documentary concluded that Bitcoin core developer Peter Todd is Satoshi Nakamoto. But nobody's buying it.

📝 What you need to know

The makers of the HBO documentary “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery” named early Bitcoin developer Peter Todd as the person behind the Satoshi Nakamoto pseudonym.

The problem is that not even he believes it.

His name wasn’t even in the mix on decentralized betting platform Polymarket, where upwards of $44 million was riding on bets that the documentary would name crime boss Paul Le Roux, Ethereum co-founder and Polkadot founder Gavin Wood, computer scientist Nick Szabo, or—miraculously—vindicate Craig Wright’s claims to be Satoshi.

Guess the house wins, right?
