Bitcoin may narrowly beat the ā€œRed Septemberā€ curse, but the broader crypto market is looking bloodied heading into the final few days of the month.

As of Friday afternoon, BTC monthly gains are a scant 0.63% in the green. New U.S. inflation data came in as expected, which prompted a muted response from markets.

But the bigger worry now has become how President Donald Trump’s new tariffs—announced on Truth Social, of course—might impact the economy and therefore make the Fed governors reconsider additional interest rates in their final two meetings of 2025. For now, the next macroeconomic data point on traders’ radar is the non-farm payroll report, due out next Friday, Oct. 3.
