'Noah Doe' Bitcoin whale moves $33M 🐋
More coins tagged in a New York lawsuit are on the move, likely in a bid to thwart the anonymous plaintiff's claim that they constitute abandoned property.

A Bitcoin address that had never sent a coin since it was first funded in September 2013 moved 411.45 BTC, worth some $33.4 million, on Sunday.
Worth just $54,000 when the wallet was funded, the coins were moved to a new, unlabeled address rather than an exchange. Galaxy Research tagged the wallet as one of 39,069 dormant addresses named in a New York lawsuit brought by a pseudonymous “Noah Doe” and two Wyoming companies, who argue the 3.8 million BTC held in those wallets count as abandoned property—despite the fact that the plaintiffs don’t hold the private keys to them.
It’s likely, then, that the coin shuffling was conducted in order to thwart the lawsuit’s claim—and it’s not the only wallet that’s done so, with Galaxy head of research Alex Thorn noting that dormant “Noah Doe” coins are moving at an accelerating pace month over month.
