Billionaire Elon Musk has started his own political party—and put Bitcoin front and center, after declaring fiat currency "hopeless."

Elon Musk’s set-to with U.S. President Donald Trump has yielded a new political party—and the billionaire Tesla CEO is already moving to snatch the crypto vote from the GOP. Musk’s America Party will embrace Bitcoin, he said, declaring fiat currency “hopeless” and calling for radical fiscal reform.
Although the America Party has yet to release a detailed digital asset policy, Musk appears to be positioning Bitcoin as a form of counter-monetary policy, industry observers told Decrypt.
Of course there’s also the possibility that Musk, ever the provocateur, is speaking “in the heat of the moment” and that his party’s formal position may change. And there’s one glaring omission: what about his favourite meme coin, Dogecoin?
