Memes are all the rage Monday thanks to the return of Keith Gill, aka “Roaring Kitty,” the trader and bull-poster behind 2021’s GameStop (GME) meme stock surge. With one tweet, the infamous and long-dormant trader fueled a spike in GME that saw the price double from Friday’s close to Monday’s open. Nasdaq halted trading nine times this morning amid the buying frenzy.

We’ll see whether the the meme stock phenomenon continues past Monday, but we’re already seeing meme coins lead the market with gains—including Dogecoin, an unofficial GME token on Solana that was up 1,900% this morning, and various Donald Trump-themed coins.
