Global asset manager VanEck released a new report predicting that the price of Ethereum will hit $22,000 by 2030, calling the cryptocurrency “digital oil.”

Dubbing the cryptocurrency “a revolutionary asset with few parallels in the non-crypto financial world,” the report estimated that the network's total addressable market stands at $15 trillion.

The report comes on the heels of the SEC’s approval of spot Ethereum ETFs in the US, which has implications for the cryptocurrency’s regulatory status.

The firm’s spot Bitcoin ETF has pulled in $513 million so far, and it foresees a bright future for Ethereum, too.
