ETH staking exit queue grows ⏸️
The amount of Ethereum waiting to be unstaked is at an all-time high—and the growing demand to withdraw ETH could put sell pressure on the coin.

📝 What you need to know
Ethereum has set an all-time high… no, not that all-time high.
ETH didn’t break its price peak from 2021, though it came closer than it has in ages on Thursday, topping out about $100 from the record. Instead, Ethereum’s staking exit queue is currently at an all-time high, as users who have locked up their ETH have to wait longer than ever to reclaim their tokens.
Currently, ETH users trying to unstake their tokens have to wait nearly 16 days to reclaim their funds, with $4 billion worth of ETH sitting in the queue. Unstakers might be eager to take profits with ETH at its highest price in years, and that could put sell pressure on the asset, which has fallen by nearly 8% since the recent peak.
“Unstaking doesn’t usually cause a sudden crash, but under stress it can act like a steady tap of new supply, pressuring prices lower if it overwhelms new demand for ETH,” Bitwise Senior Investment Strategist Juan Leon told Decrypt.
