Bitcoin has steadied, but Coinbase analysts say they still see hints of crypto winter on the horizon.

Bitcoin stumbled on Wednesday, but leveled out after the White House clarified just how high it’s willing to raise tariffs on Chinese goods.
President Donald Trump has hinted that his administration is making progress on trade deals with other nations. But David Duong, global head of research at crypto exchange Coinbase, wrote in a Tuesday note that he’s still concerned about the effect hectic trade relations will have on risk-on assets like Bitcoin.
Despite an improving regulatory environment marked by legislative debate and Trump’s pro-crypto slant, “the path to recovery for crypto remains challenging,” he wrote, arguing a cautious outlook may be warranted through the next four to six weeks.
So perhaps investors shouldn’t put away their hats and gloves just yet.
