Crypto firms are doubling down on political spending, donating millions to U.S. president-elect Donald Trumpās inauguration committee after a year in which crypto money changed the political landscape.
Their efforts appear to be bearing fruit as the Republican Party bolsters its pro-crypto stance, with reports that Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) is being tapped to lead a new subcommittee focusing on digital assets. Lummis has previously advocated for the U.S. to adopt a Bitcoin strategic reserve, which Trump adopted as one of his pre-election promises.
