It’s not been a great few days for AI fans. OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other AI-powered services went down for several hours Tuesday morning. The AI firm’s travails came on the heels of Apple’s WWDC event, which saw the tech giant downplay its Apple Intelligence efforts—days after it outlined the limitations of large language models in a research paper.

Meanwhile, AI-powered autonomous taxis bore the brunt of protesters’ ire during a protest against ICE raids in Los Angeles, with several Waymo self-driving cars set ablaze.

Still, there’s always the metaverse to turn to, with one VR game trying to recapture the glory days of 2022 with a token launch on Pump.fun.
