📝 What you need to know

BlackRock has filed for a “buffer” Bitcoin ETF that would cap investors’ gains in exchange for limiting their losses. The iShares Bitcoin Managed Protection ETF, which would trade as PBIT, wouldn’t hold Bitcoin directly, according to the filing. Instead, it would buy and sell options on BlackRock’s spot fund, IBIT, in three overlapping tranches, typically limiting each tranche’s initial losses to about 10%.

Rivals Calamos, First Trust and Innovator already offer similar products, but Bloomberg’s James Seyffart noted that BlackRock moves in this space tend to “make a big splash.” The filing landed as IBIT took in $665.2 million on Monday, the only one of the 12 U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs to post net inflows, breaking a two-week run of outflows that had cost the funds about $910 million.

Will Democrats sweep the 2026 midterms?
Yes if Democrats control both the House and Senate after November 3
Yes 64%No 36%

Why it matters
Traders give Democrats 64% odds of a sweep, up from roughly 40% in July. A Reuters/Ipsos poll put President Trump's approval at 31%, the lowest of either term, with Democrats leading the generic ballot 47% to 35%, Sky News reports. The Senate is the harder lift: Republicans hold 53 of 100 seats there, against a slim 218–214 House majority. Voters head to the polls November 3.
