Think you’re a Bitcoin maxi? You’ve got nothing on cypherpunk pioneer Adam Back, who told Decrypt that despite BTC hovering near an all-time high above $100,000, it’s still under-priced.

In fact, Back argued, over the course of its current cycle, he expects Bitcoin to hit between $500,000 and $1 million a coin. “There doesn't seem to be a clear logical reason to me for why we are only at $100,000,” he said.

“That's not very high given all of the things that are different compared to a couple years ago,” Back argued, pointing to the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs, the influx of institutional money and U.S. President Donald Trump’s crypto-friendly policies.

In the meantime, Bitcoin still has some way to go, with its price dipping Thursday on weaker than expected U.S. wholesale prices.
