Bitcoin wobbled over the weekend, falling to nearly $63,000 after the initial U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran before rising above $67,000, then cooling again. But on Monday, soon after the stock markets open, Bitcoin and other crypto assets saw a major surge, with BTC touching $70,000 for the first time in weeks.
Analysts told Decrypt that a rebound was expected as uncertainty faded.
“Bitcoin's initial sell-off was almost textbook; markets hate uncertainty more than bad news, and the moment the Iran conflict looked contained, the reflexive bid came back fast,” Ryan McMillin, chief investment officer at Merkle Tree Capital, told Decrypt.
