📝 What you need to know

An overnight plunge in the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum dragged down the rest of the crypto market rolling into Friday, with the top 40 cryptocurrencies by market cap all in the red today. BTC has rebounded slightly to $56,831, and ETH is trading for $2,989 as of writing.

Myriad factors are blamed for the protracted downturn, notably the massive Bitcoin movements expected from Mt. Gox and the German government. (U.S. economic reports, perhaps not so much.) When those sales are absorbed, experts say we should see BTC bottom out.
