Bitcoin dives as Trump targets Iran 🎯

President Trump's assassination threat against Iran's supreme leader sparked a further dip in crypto prices as traders fear elevated unrest.

📝 What you need to know

Bitcoin dipped to its lowest price in nearly two weeks Tuesday after President Trump teased a threat against Iran supreme leader Ali Khamenei in a social media post.

The post, in which Trump said Iran’s leader was an “easy target” but one that the U.S. wouldn’t immediately assassinate (“at least not for now”), threatens to inflame Middle East tensions further after days of back-and-forth attacks between Israel and Iran.

After diving to a recent low of $103,630, Bitcoin has since recovered above $105,000. It’s still down more than 3% on the day, though major alts like Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin are showing daily losses in the neighborhood of 5% each.
