Bitcoin at $86K: where next? 🤔

BTC hit highs above $86,000 Monday, despite last week's Clarity Act and Fed rate setbacks—leaving traders pondering if this is a natural recovery or a bull trap.

📝 What you need to know

Bitcoin’s rally continued apace Monday, with the cryptocurrency topping $86,000 to trade at its highest level since January. Last week it absorbed a Fed rate hike, a Bank of Japan hike and the Senate's rejection of the Clarity Act, and never dipped under $75,000.

But while shorts have been squeezed, with $768 million in short positions liquidated over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin faces a testing few weeks, with macro events including a Trump-Xi summit on September 24, the PCE price index on September 30, and the jobs report on October 2.
