French authorities are probing crypto exchange Binance for money laundering, tax fraud, drug trafficking and other charges.
The exchange professed itself “deeply disappointed” at the investigation, denying the allegations and noting that they were “several years old.”
In 2023, it was revealed that Binance was under investigation by the judicial finance investigation service under the direction of the specialized interregional jurisdiction of Paris (JIRS) for acts including “aggravated money laundering.”
