Artificial intelligence’s unstoppable march continues apace, with the news that Apple plans to integrate ChatGPT into its Siri voice assistant.

The new “Apple Intelligence” upgrade will debut with iOS 18, MacOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, with the consumer tech firm assuring users that “You will be able to access ChatGPT for free without creating an account, and your request and information will not be logged.”

Nevertheless, at least one person isn’t a fan. Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to say that he’d ban Apple devices from his companies if OpenAI is integrated at the OS level, deeming it an “unacceptable security violation.”
