Telegram is gearing up for the “largest rollout of a non-custodial crypto wallet in human history,” across every version of the app, its founder Pavel Durov announced. The wallet, which supports the Gram token, will put instant, zero-fee transactions in front of Telegram’s billion-plus users.

Unlike Telegram's existing custodial @wallet bot, it would be self-custody from the start and baked into the app. Gram jumped to an intraday high of $1.59 on the news, though it remains down by some 47% from its recent peak of $2.88 in May, and 5% on the week.
